Welcome to Old Elthamians RFC

As one of the most successful London clubs of the last 10 years, we hope to continue our rapid rise through the leagues whilst maintaining the friendly and relaxed nature of Old Elthamians.

The 1st XV are have this year been promoted to London 1 South after winning their league last season and are still focused on developing what is a youthful team to make a challenge for further promotion.

The 2nd XV play in the Shepherd Neame Invicta League 1. The standard of rugby now matches that played by the 1st XV only a couple of seasons ago and is a great arena in which a mix of budding youngsters can make their case for a 1st team place alongside some seasoned veterans.

The 3rd XV play in the Kent Metropolitan Bishop's Finger League having contested well the previous season and effectively moved up a league in the shuffle. With a large squad of players, many are coming through the ranks and moving on to the 2s where they are settling in well.

The 4th XV have emerged in the 2009/10 season and are the more socially focused team in the club, taking on friendlies at the moment as numbers permit. A great place to start if you are keen to play rugby for the first time, or make your first comeback since those distant school days.

Old Elthamians is also renowned for it's Mini and Youth rugby section, which has produced many of the current stars of the club and also a couple of have gone on to gain both Premiership and International honours.

New Arrival...

Thomas Adrian Wright was born to Will and Kate Wright on Saturday 2nd January . He weighed in at a hefty 8lb 13oz .

This Saturday sees the annual OE’s Pub Golf Tour of Chislehurst.

Pre-match buffet (5th Dec)

Frans Pretorious - Update

We are pleased to hear that Frans Pretorious was released from hospital on Saturday night having been thoroughly checked out . Nothing serious but a seriously sore body ! We wish him a speedy recovery .

Pre-match Curry

To celebrate the opening of the season at Foxbury , with Old Elthamians playing in London League Division 1 on Saturday September 12th 2009, " PIG AND PIMMS" will be served from 12.30pm on the patio.

The annual Matt Jarvis memorial 5 a side touch tournament will be held at Foxbury on Saturday 4th July 10.00 am prompt start

Old Elthamians U11s invited to play Blackheath U11s, at 150th anniversary

Old Elthamians U11s have been invited to play Blackheath U11s, at Blackheath's 150th game against The Barbarians.

Max O'Leary picked for the county under 20s

Congratulations to Max O'Leary who has been picked for the county under 20s.

He played in a losing game to Middlesex but is due to make amends against Hertford on the 1st March .

The club are really proud of Max making the county side . Good luck Max we all support you .

South African International Prop Coaches Elthamians

Cobus Visagie, the 30 capped South African prop ran a Scrum session for the Elthamians 1st team. Cobus is part of the Saracens 1st team squad, and is keen to make the training a regular event.

OE Starts For England

Sam Farmer started for England U16A in there 52-10 win over USA U17s. Ben Ransom was also on the bench but did not get onto the pitch.

You may have noticed a number of player profiles going up on the site in the last few days. We've received a number of profiles and photos through Mike but there are obviously still a LOT missing!

Old Elthamians Draw Bromley in the Kent Cup

In the 2nd Round Shepherd Neame Kent Cup to be played on or before 13th January old Elthamians have drawn local rivals Bromley.

White Collar Boxing

Our very own JP is participating in a white-collar boxing event in Bethnal Green on Friday 14th December.
